Tax Increment Financing
Established in 2008, the Franklin County Tax Increment Financing (TIF) District provides public assistance to the Kibby Wind Power Project and created an economic development plan for Unorganized Townships (UTs) in Franklin County. As part of the economic development plan, a portion of the funds obtained from this district are put towards two funding programs: grants for projects in UTs and a revolving loan fund.
The 2022 round of grant applications is open!
Organizations with projects that are located in the Unorganized Townships are encouraged to apply for funding.
Letters of intent are due April 15th.
If you are invited to submit an application based on your letter of intent, applications will be due on May 5th. All of the forms and applications can be downloaded below.
